Celcuity is a clinical-stage biotechnology company seeking a Molecular and Cellular Biology Scientist to drive innovation at the intersection of experimental biology and computational analysis. This role plays a critical part in uncovering complex biological mechanisms through multi-omics data and supporting our mission to improve cancer diagnostics and treatment.
What You’ll Do:
- Apply your knowledge of biochemistry and cell biology to develop testable hypotheses for dysfunctional disease mechanisms and therapeutic interventions.
- Design and execute omics experiments (RNA-seq, single-cell, spatial transcriptomics) using in vitro and in vivo models.
- Build and run reproducible data analysis workflows in R and/or Python.
- Develop algorithms to integrate and analyze large-scale multi-omics datasets (DNA, RNA, protein).
- Apply statistical and machine learning approaches to identify functional states and metabolic perturbations in biological systems.
- Maintain rigorous data documentation, validation, and storage practices in cloud-based environments.
What We’re Looking For:
- Ph.D. (or equivalent experience) in biological or biochemical sciences with emphasis on omics.
- Strong background in cell signaling, molecular biology, and systems biochemistry.
- Hands-on experience with experimental workflows and analysis pipelines in R/Python.
- Proven experience wrangling, integrating, and analyzing complex datasets.
- Commitment to code reproducibility, data integrity, and collaborative research.
Bonus If You Have:
- Experience with spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, or cloud-based data environments.
- Familiarity with public repositories and structured query languages.
- Knowledge of supervised/unsupervised ML techniques and pathway enrichment tools.
Why Celcuity?
Be part of a growing team translating advanced biological insights into real-world clinical impact. At Celcuity, you'll work with a collaborative team of scientists and engineers committed to solving some of the most complex challenges in oncology.
