At Signia Aerospace, the IT Generalist is a technology professional with a
broad understanding of various IT aspects, including project management,
desktop support, software installation, and assisting the VP and
Technology Services Manager with multiple projects.
Objectives of this role
Maintain inventory control records using FreshService Asset Management tool
Monitor Hardware and Software
Patching assets to defend against malware
Managing Asset Lifecycle
Manage/Recommend Application/Software Licensing
Manage/Recommend Maintenance Renewals
Training Awareness for Cyber Security
Making Purchase Orders for equipment
Creating reports for leadership
Project management support
Other projects as assigned
Responsibilities
Creating purchase orders for hardware and software
Prioritize and schedule problem resolutions and escalate problems when
Required
Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported
by the organization
Manage the asset lifecycle for purchasing, updating, patching, and recycling
Provide training awareness throughout the business for mail phishing and
cyber security and propose improvements
Assisting the VP and Technology Services Manager in projects and workload
Utilize FreshService to create ticketing reports and dashboards
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing IT
environments
Required Skills And Qualifications
Two years of experience in a helpdesk role or similar position
Comprehensive knowledge of desktop support and troubleshooting
Proven skills in performance analysis
In-depth knowledge of technological devices (computers, laptops,
printers, copiers, etc.)
Associate's degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related field
Preferred Skills And Qualifications
Experience with VPN clients, MFA technologies and IT Ticketing Systems
