As a Purchasing Assistant on our team, you will be trained to work with our in-house software systems to help the Inventory Planners with purchasing decisions that align with our goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Confirm vendor receipt and shipping timelines for purchase orders
- Communicate with vendors to resolve any shipping issues or errors
- Maintain and update pricing by gathering and importing new information
- Look for ways to improve workflows and reduce inefficiencies
- Keep track of internal and external communications
- Check in regularly on active projects
- Review open purchase orders to identify overdue deliveries
- Support Sales and Customer Service teams with assigned tasks
- Monitor key metrics and generate reports
- Lead self-directed initiatives and tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Sense of urgency
