The Office of Judicial Administration is seeking an experienced Building Manager to coordinate and lead day-to-day building operations in the Kansas Judicial Center. This role is crucial in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all staff and those who visit the Kansas Judicial Center.

Job Duties:

(Position may not include all duties listed and duties listed may not cover all duties that may be performed.)

  • Schedule/coordinate building maintenance as needed
  • Supervising and scheduling maintenance and repair projects
  • Acquire necessary quotes from vendors for building projects
  • Create and submit relevant purchase requests for projects
  • Compliance with safety regulations and building codes
  • Collaborating with contractors as needed.
  • Providing onsite directions to environmental services staff
  • Facilitate meeting rooms usage and room set-up
  • Coordination of onsite events and building tours
  • Assist the Chief Financial Officer with developing proposals for building projects
  • Responding to staff requests/inquiries regarding building issues.
  • Keeping records of building maintenance, repairs, and inspections
  • Oversight of the Mail Room activities including supervision of Mail Room staff
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Preferred Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree. Experience with project management, building management and/or maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, including writing, speaking, editing, proofreading, and presentation
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively manage projects, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
  • Proficient using MS Office Suite
