Key Responsibilities
Public Interaction:
- Greet visitors, answer incoming calls, and provide general information about shelter services and programs.
- Direct guests and callers to the appropriate staff members.
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper files.
- Enter data into shelter software systems.
- Process adoption applications and other forms.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
- Schedule appointments and assist with general correspondence.
- Process donations and issue acknowledgments.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized front office space.
- Monitor and restock office supplies.
- Provide support for various administrative projects as needed.
- Previous experience in customer service or administrative roles for an Animal Shelter or Vet office required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable using computers and office software; experience with animal shelter software is a plus.
- A genuine interest in animal welfare and the mission of our organization.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
