- Lead the daily sales operations within the assigned geography, ensuring execution of company standards and strategies.
- Drive volume and revenue growth through effective account management, promotional execution, and customer service.
- Manage and grow key accounts in the region including major grocery chains, convenience stores, and independent retailers.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and underperforming areas; implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations to roll out new products, seasonal initiatives, and retail displays.
- Ensure compliance with safety, product handling, and merchandising standards.
- Monitor route profitability, customer retention, and service levels to ensure continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the field and the corporate office for assigned territory.
- Support the execution of pricing strategies and promotional campaigns.
- Conduct regular in-market visits to ensure executional excellence and build relationships with retail partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of sales leadership experience, preferably in DSD or the food/beverage industry.
- Strong knowledge of the retail landscape in Southwest Chicagoland and surrounding Indiana/Michigan regions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop field sales teams.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable with sales reporting tools.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly throughout the territory.
- Regular field-based role with travel across Southwest Chicago suburbs, Indiana, and Michigan.
- May require early morning store visits, occasional weekends, and overnight travel.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and be on your feet during store visits or warehouse walkthroughs.
