Job Summary:
The Community Outreach Liaison at Bournewood Health Systems is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic referral relationships, representing the facility’s inpatient psychiatric and Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient programs and services to external stakeholders, and implementing outreach and marketing strategies to increase patient referrals and census growth, under the direction of the Director of Community Outreach. This role includes, in conjunction with the Director of Community Outreach, regular field outreach, participation in networking events, maintaining accurate CRM records, and supporting collaborative relationships with internal teams. Additionally, this position contributes to the organization’s digital visibility through social media content, web updates, and related digital tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Referral Relationship Management
- Works with Director of Community Outreach to cultivate, develop, and maintain productive relationships with current and prospective referral sources.
- Re-engage lapsed referral sources and rebuild trust and collaboration.
- Serve as a liaison between Bournewood and community stakeholders, ensuring timely follow-up and communication.
- Collaborate with admissions and intake staff to ensure seamless handoffs and quality referral experiences.
- Educate referral partners on program enhancements, clinical services, and aftercare options.
- Execute a strategic regional marketing and outreach plan as established by the Director of Community Outreach, including face-to-face meetings, educational presentations, and special events.
- Represent Bournewood at local, regional, and state conferences and community events.
- Deliver presentations about programs and services to healthcare professionals and community partners, as directed.
- Assist in creating and distributing marketing materials and promotional content, as needed.
- Manage and update Bournewood Health Systems’ professional social media accounts (e.g., LinkedIn) to increase brand awareness and engagement among healthcare providers and referral sources.
- Create visually compelling, brand-consistent content using tools such as Canva for posts, flyers, and digital assets.
- Utilize JotForm to build and manage digital forms for event registrations, referral tracking, and community outreach surveys.
- Support basic website content updates in coordination with the marketing or IT team, ensuring service offerings, staff highlights, and events are current.
- Monitor analytics and engagement metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of social media campaigns and recommend improvements.
- Accurately maintain records in Salesforce or designated CRM software regarding contacts, activities, and referral data.
- Track outreach activity and submit timely weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to the Director.
- Execute planned dinners, luncheons, and other networking events to cultivate referral relationships in collaboration with Director of Community Outreach.
- Coordinate internal and external provider events in collaboration with leadership.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing, business, healthcare, or related field, preferred.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in healthcare business development, clinical outreach, or related sales/marketing field.
- Experience in inpatient psychiatric hospitals, PHPs/IOP, behavioral health and substance use treatment strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting KPI targets.
- Experience managing professional social media accounts and using digital content platforms.
- Proficiency with Canva, JotForm, and basic website content management systems is strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, and marketing platforms.
- Must be self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the region; overnight travel may be required occasionally.
- Flexibility to attend events or respond to urgent referral needs outside regular business hours.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
