Job Title: HAAS Vertical Mill Machine Operator 1

Location: Wheeling, Illinois

Employment Type: Full-Time / Non-Exempt

Shift: 6:00am to 4:30pm, 4 days a week, Mon-Thurs

Pay Range: $20 to $25 per hour

About The Role

Produce components efficiently and accurately by operating and maintaining HAAS Vertical Mill / related equipment and similar ancillary machines.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for production and operation of multiple HAAS milling machines in team-based environment
  • Responsible for general/daily maintenance on machines to keep up with production.
  • Responsible for ensuring quality of parts through regular inspection during production.
  • Follow all safety guidelines as stated by the company.
  • Read and understand blueprints and basic geometric dimension tolerancing (will train)
  • Inspect parts through use of visual and manual inspection equipment (caliper, micrometer etc.), as well as programmed CMM equipment (will train).
  • Make offsets & change tooling per provided layout (will train).
  • Communicate with fellow team members, management, and other stakeholder of job status and party quality.

Requirements / Skills

  • Cooperative, team-focused attitude
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination and good manual dexterity in both hands
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly
  • Ability to stand/walk throughout the day for the entire shift.
  • Ability to read English and follow standard operating procedure instructions
  • Communicate / train others when needed
  • Ability to inspect parts through use of visual and manual inspection equipment (caliper, micrometer etc.) as well as programmed CMM equipment (will train).
  • Complete Operation Basics Training.
  • Previous HAAS Milling experience preferred.
