Job Description:

As a Front & Back of House Support team member at Ashes & Diamonds Winery, you will ensure that every guest enjoys seamless hospitality while also keeping our kitchen running efficiently. Most of your week will be spent on the floor—clearing, resetting, and polishing glassware to our exacting standards—while two set days each week you will operate the dish station and maintain BOH cleanliness.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly and assist Estate Hosts in providing exceptional service.
• Clear, reset, and polish glassware between reservations to maintain a flawless presentation.
• Restock glassware, silverware, linens, and collateral materials throughout service.
• Maintain and organize public areas, ensuring they remain neat and presentable at all times.
• Regularly inspect and tidy restrooms, keeping them clean and fully stocked.
• Assist with pre-shift setup and post-shift cleanup to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide support during special events and help manage guest flow during busy periods.
• Dishwash two days per week and keep the dish area sanitary and organized.
• Coordinate with the Property Steward to uphold the overall appearance of the winery’s public spaces.
• Be proactive in supporting both Culinary and Estate Host teams, adapting to the dynamic environment of our winery.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a restaurant or winery setting is preferred.
• Proven skill or strong interest in glass polishing and/or dishwashing.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks with a strong sense of urgency.
• Excellent organizational skills and capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Adaptable, flexible, and eager to excel in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Strong customer service skills and a genuine passion for hospitality.
• Good judgment and the ability to make timely, informed decisions.
• Team player with a creative, positive attitude.
• Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required.
• Professional appearance and demeanor, reflecting Ashes & Diamonds standards.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to connect with guests from diverse backgrounds.
• Must be able to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, including two scheduled dish shifts.
  
  

Physical/Mental Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Capacity to lift and move up to 30 pounds and handle repetitive motions associated with dishwashing and glass polishing.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, guest-focused environment with a diverse clientele.
• Strong multitasking skills and the ability to stay organized under pressure.
