UNFI - NorCal Produce is looking for qualified Order Selectors in West Sacramento, CA!

Please note: NorCal Produce is fully a climate controlled warehouse with cold temperatures ranging from 30-35°F degrees

Shift Info:

• Sundays are MANDATORY! (busiest day of the week!)
• 2 days back-to-back off during the week and Saturdays always OFF
• 2PM start until finish
• 4x10hrs schedule typically
• Overtime as needed, sometimes mandatory
• Fully climate controlled warehouse - must be ok with chill environment (no freezer, just fridge around 35 degrees)
• Nuts, fruits, veggies, fresh flowers etc. are found at this distribution center
  

Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

• Operates a double pallet jack throughout the warehouse.
• Selects cases and applies pick labels.
• Obtains work assignments.
• Works in a fast distribution center environment
• Stacks cases onto pallets.
• Inspects equipment and fills out inspection checklist.
• Cleans work area.
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience Required:

• Minimum one year warehouse experience required
• Experience with rider pallet jack, electric pallet jack or similar
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
  
  

Skills/Abilities:

• Frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
