RN - Med-Surg (Nights)

The competent Nurse, with experience in a similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care.

• Provides routine and complex nursing care, planning long-term goals and managing clinical contingencies.
• Makes appropriate assignments and delegates tasks to care providers to maintain efficient patient management.
• Meets competency standards by utilizing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for assigned patients.
• Addresses patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs, providing education to patients and their families.
• Administers medications and treatments according to protocols, monitors for side-effects and effectiveness, and documents all care activities.
• Assesses learning needs and offers appropriate education and resources.
  
  

Education/Skills: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Experience: At least 1 year in a related nursing specialty preferred.

Licenses/Certifications: BLS required; RN license in the state of employment or compact.

Work Schedule: Per Diem as needed.
