- The Nurse independently provides routine and complex care in a clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations.
- Maintains long-term planning, manages contingencies, and delegates tasks to care providers to ensure effective patient management.
- Meets competency standards by utilizing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—tailored to patient needs.
- Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs, administering medications and treatments per protocol while monitoring effects.
- Documents patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided, and educates patients and families.
- Requires a BSN preferred, at least one year of related nursing experience, and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Completes onboarding, competency validations, and maintains certifications within specified time frames, with orientation and preceptorship for new hires.
- Work schedule is TBD; position is per diem as needed.
