Job Title: ReStore Assistant Manager

Purpose: The ReStore Assistant Manager is an integral part of the team and supports the ReStore Manager by assisting in most aspects of the administrative and operational management of the ReStore. The ReStore Assistant Manager provides leadership to staff and volunteers and approaches operations with a business mind and helps create a positive culture. The ReStore Assistant Manager supports the mission of ReStore which is to provide a stable funding source for our Habitat for Humanity affiliate with a focus on reducing solid waste disposal and providing a resource for our communities to purchase inexpensive merchandise.

Time Commitment: This is a full-time, non-exempt position, working 40 hours weekly Tuesday through Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 9:45 a.m. to 6:16 p.m. Additional work hours outside the regular business day may be necessary.

Salary Range: $21.00 – $28.00 per hour

Benefits: Twelve paid holidays per year, one sick day per month, 80 hours of paid vacation, participation in Kaiser Health Plan.

Primary Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a related field preferred, and a minimum of 3 years experience supervising at least 5 employees or volunteers.
  • Knowledge of cash register/POS systems.
  • Assists ReStore Manager with opening and closing ReStore, balancing registers, preparing reports, preparing deposits, and varied administrative duties.
  • Upholds policies and procedures to maintain an effective, efficient, and safe ReStore operation.
  • Sets example for excellent customer service and nurtures donor and customer relationships.
  • Provides leadership and supervision to staff and volunteers.
  • Trains staff and volunteers in on-the-job duties.
  • Experience in warehouse management and inventory control systems, sales, merchandising, salvage, and environmental areas.
  • Must be able to lift and move items that are 50 pounds.
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time on cement floorsup to two to four uninterrupted hours in a crowded retail facility.
  • Experience in computer operations in programs such as Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and 365.
