Job Overview:
The Director of HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) is a critical leadership role within the HR Shared Services Department, responsible for managing and overseeing the organization's HRIS infrastructure, ensuring it meets the company's needs for efficient human resources management. This position involves strategic planning, implementation, and management of HR technology solutions, and requires a deep understanding of Payroll, Benefits and HR processes, data management, and IT systems.
Your Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive HRIS strategy that aligns with the company's overall business goals. Identify and implement innovative HR technology solutions to enhance HR service delivery.
- System Management: Oversee the daily operations of HRIS systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance. Manage system upgrades, configurations, integrations, and customizations to meet evolving business needs.
- Business Process Optimization: Lead initiatives to optimize business processes and improve operational efficiency through data-driven analytics and strategic planning.
- Project Management: Lead projects from inception to completion, including system implementations, integrations, and migrations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize HRIS data to generate actionable insights and reports for HR and executive teams. Develop and maintain dashboards and metrics to track HR performance and support decision-making.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with HRIS vendors. Negotiate contracts, manage vendor performance, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team. Provide mentorship, training, and development opportunities to ensure team members are equipped to support HR Shared Services.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure systems comply with all relevant regulations and standards, including data privacy, HIPAA, and security requirements. Implement policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive HR information.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and system enhancements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness in HR operations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in HRIS or IT management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of successful HRIS system implementations and project management.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle HCM), data analytics tools, and IT infrastructure. Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and other data analysis software.
- Business Process Optimization: Proficiency in business process optimization techniques and analytics tools, with a strong ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights. Previous organizational transformation or business consulting experience strongly desired.
- Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and lead cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated capacity to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement changes efficiently.
- Compliance: In-depth understanding of HR regulations, data privacy laws, and security standards. Ability to ensure HRIS systems are compliant with relevant legal requirements.
- Project Management: Expertise in project management methodologies. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within established timelines and budgets.
