Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of medical billing/collections experience
- Candidate must exhibit excellent time management organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast change environment
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Be a team player
- Knowledge of Medicare, Commercial Insurance
- Must have ICD-10/CPT knowledge
- Adhere to HIPPA guidelines and regulations
- Experience utilizing Medical Billing Software Eclinical preferred
- The Medical Collections Specialist is responsible for collecting payment on overdue bills and accounts
- Keep customer billing information up to date
- Research accounts and disputes
- Resolve denials and appeals
- Correct patient reimbursements and arrange patient payment
- Provide clear and concise documentation of every action taken on account
- Salary: $16 to 17 an hour
