The Director, Marketing and Sales Systems leads the enterprise vision and strategy for Salesforce and its supporting applications and directs the development, configuration, implementation and support of those systems. This role is accountable for defining the roadmap, governance, and business alignment for the LCS Marketing & Sales systems. As a key liaison between business leaders and technical teams, the Director ensures LCS maximizes its investment in CRM and marketing automation platforms to drive lead generation, optimize occupancy, and elevate the customer experience.
This position reports directly to the VP, Business Applications with a strong dotted line relationship to the Sales and Marketing senior leaders. This role will oversee the following positions: System Engineers, Senior System Engineers, System Analysts, Senior System Analysts.

The Role
- Strategic Leadership
- Define and lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Salesforce across the enterprise.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business units (Sales, Marketing, Operations) and the Salesforce delivery team.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align platform capabilities with corporate growth goals.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in the Salesforce ecosystem and broader marketing/sales technology landscape.
- Champion the continuous enhancement and advancement with the Marketing and Sales systems.
- Team Management
- Responsible for the effective management and leadership of a team. This includes, but is not limited to: hiring, training, coaching, evaluating and managing performance, allocating compensation, effectively handling employee relations issues, managing terminations.
- Oversee the work management process to optimize team productivity and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
- Establish and maintain clear visibility into team capacity, ensuring proper resource planning and workload distribution across projects and operational support.
- Oversee relationships with vendors, consultants, and managed services providers.
- Foster a team culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Salesforce Platform Oversight
- Oversee design, configuration, customization, and integration of Salesforce and its supporting applications.
- Ensure system scalability, security, data integrity, and strong user adoption.
- Champion user training, documentation, and ongoing support initiatives.
- Project & Change Management
- Manage a portfolio of projects, enhancements, and support efforts using agile principles.
- Lead cross-functional teams from requirements gathering through implementation.
- Apply change management best practices to minimize disruption and ensure successful adoption.
- Drive continuous improvement within the delivery lifecycle, identifying opportunities for process optimization and increased efficiency.
- Data Governance & Insights
- Define and enforce data quality, governance, and stewardship standards.
- Deliver insights and analytics to support sales and marketing effectiveness, lead conversion, and occupancy trends.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.
- Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
- 8+ years of progressive IT experience with 5+ years focused on Salesforce platform administration or development
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading Salesforce teams or enterprise-level CRM programs
- Experience in the senior living, healthcare, or real estate industry is highly desirable
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong knowledge of CRM best practices, marketing automation, and data analytics
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives that deliver measurable business value
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrated skills in translating business needs into technical requirements and design.
- Ability to analyze multiple solutions and weigh costs and benefits to choose an appropriate course of action.
