Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly capable medical-surgical nurse to join our team. The Registered Professional Nurse cares for patients by diagnosing and treating their responses to actual or potential health problems in the acute care setting through implementation of the nursing process. Coordinates care of other disciplines, delegates tasks to other nursing personnel, supervises care, provides direct patient care and evaluates outcomes. Maintains competence in clinical practice and assists in the development of nursing practice standards through participation in professional committees and organizations.

- Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team.
- Provides explanations and instructions to patient/responsible person.
- Demonstrate ability to use nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition.
- Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict using professional communication skills.
- Meets Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care.
- Participate in continuing education.
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
- RN license.
- BLS certification required.
- Graduate of accredited RN program.
- ACLS.
- Extensive experience in monitoring a broad range of medical conditions.
- In-depth knowledge of best practices in medical-surgical nursing.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Superb interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities.
