Title: Manager, Development
Reports to: Director of Development – Corporations, Foundations, and Individuals (DDCFI)
Pay Rate: $28-$32/hour*
The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) tackles the most pressing problems facing Los Angeles with a mission to improve education, health care, homelessness, and social justice for all Angelenos. Bigger than baseball, LADF envisions a city where everyone, regardless of ZIP code, has the opportunity to thrive. To support us in this mission, we are seeking a Manager, Development for the day-to-day relationship management, engagement, and communication with all corporate, foundation and individual donors. A special emphasis will be put on managing the lifecycle of funders, including preparing for meetings with current & prospective funders to pitching proposals, cultivating relationships, and stewarding partnerships.

Under its new strategic plan, “Lasting Impact for Los Angeles,” LADF is amplifying best practices, scaling solutions, growing its capacity, and refining its work with investments exceeding $71 million in its programs and grants to local organizations. To date, LADF has positively impacted over 11 million youth. LADF is the proud recipient of ESPN's Sports Humanitarian Team of the Year, Robert Wood Johnson Sports Award, Beyond Sport's Sport for Reduced Racial Inequalities Collective Impact Award, and the Aspen Institute Project Play Champion.
Core Responsibilities
Development Department Collaboration:
Foundation Grants: Assist DDCFI, in managing pipeline of foundation grants and corporate proposals in partnership with external grant writing consultant
Individual Giving: Support DDCFI in the creation of an individual giving program to translate and cultivate Dodger fans into LADF donors. Support individual donor prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities with ownership and strategic management of internal tracking systems
Other duties as assigned by the DDCFI.

Core Responsibilities
Development Department Collaboration:
- Under the management of the Director, Development – Corporate, Foundations & Individuals (DDCFI), support efforts to raise over $10 million in revenue per year and increase annually to achieve fundraising goals.
- Assist DDCFI in the implementation of the annual development plan and strategy, with a focus on corporations, foundations and individuals.
- With the DDCFI, identify new donor prospects and cultivate relationships that will result in broadening the donor base for LADF.
- Manage fundraising efforts and internal tracking systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness of critical fundraising activities (i.e. Salesforce and development dashboards)
- In partnership with the Development team, collaborate on monthly and quarterly reconciliation meetings to ensure proper recording of revenue
- In partnership with the Manager, In-Stadium Fundraising and Senior Coordinator, Development, work with marketing team to ensure all in-stadium and external marketing assets are secured for fundraising promotion and sponsorship deliverables.
- Support event execution in coordination with the Development team, including attending meetings and events, correspondence with sponsors and donors, and maintaining donor files and records of event activities.
- Assist with department budgets and tracking revenue goals.

Qualifications And Experience Needed
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years relevant experience in nonprofit or foundation fundraising
- Experience managing corporate and individual donors in a nonprofit setting; experience executing and managing sponsorship deliverables a plus
- Experience managing simultaneously occurring fundraising campaigns and programs to meet revenue goals
- Extremely organized and detailed-oriented and able to work in an incredibly fast-paced work environment with competing priorities
- Proven ability to track several projects and processes simultaneously.
- Strong computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office and database programs (Salesforce a plus).
- Ability to interact, establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to raise funds for the Foundation
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize time and priorities, and meet concurrent deadlines
- Experience working in teams and leading teams to achieve shared goals
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Professional work ethic and ability to manage information confidentially
- Flexibility in approach and willingness to adapt when necessary
