Being a Shipping Clerk requires the following abilities.

To carry out responsibilities in accordance with the company guidelines or policies and follows all applicable laws. Responsibilities include accurate shipment planning and carrier coordination to schedule out daily loads to meet end customer requirements. Close communication with production, planning, customer service, and sales to address any gaps in service. This individual would be responsible for monitoring multiple reports to ensure on time deliveries, trailer utilization, as well as various other touchpoints for the department.

• Actively promote and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and other programs and initiatives utilized within the organization.
• Must be able to be Powered Industrial Truck certified to assist on the floor as needed.
• Comfortable working out of multiple systems simultaneously
• Report customer order issues for on time delivery/ production needs.
• Ability to learn (FFF) for production flow and timely deliveries to the customer.
• Ability to learn IRF scanning systems. (VMU)
• Ability to learn Transportation/ Shipment Planning (CPMS), this includes creating loads, creating bill of ladings, and moving shipped loads out of the system.
• Receive plant wide purchases in (SAP) and distribute to accordingly
• Track open order reporting in Excel based system (CCR)
• Schedule outside carrier shipments within web based company portals
• Organized with the ability to prepare and distribute multiple required daily reports
• Ability to assist in monitoring departmental supplies
• Capable of researching root causes for any nonconforming shipments
• Exceptional communication skills both oral and written format to coordinate and advise operational information to various audiences: crew members, carriers, plant management, office personnel, outside customers, and vendors.
