SUMMARY:

The person in this position administratively supports the Field HR Managers and the Corporate Benefits team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data entry and verification in the HRIS system, updating various items such as address changes, data input for new hires, terminations, training, benefit changes, deductions, etc.
  • Assemble reports, compile data, and summarize records/reports manually or using basic computer programs; be responsible for maintenance of the HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Provide clerical support related to employee benefit communications.
  • Assist employees with benefit questions, completing forms, and other similar situations as they arise.
  • Respond within twenty-four hours to routine questions from the field.
  • Assist if needed in processing requests to assist in the administration of required regulatory policies such as FMLA, FELA, COBRA, and company-administered policies.
  • Assist with other projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills And/Or Experience

  • Familiarity with regulations pertaining to regulatory policies such as FMLA, FELA, and COBRA.
  • One to two years of experience in the field of human resources.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Required Education And/Or Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
