The East Sutherland Integrated Health and Social Care Service is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the team. The post holder will be based at the Lawson Memorial Hospital but will be required to provide support to our sister community hospital in Bonar Bridge during periods of leave.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate a high standard of clinical expertise in the assessment and management of both older and younger adults with complex needs. The post-holder will work as part of the wider multidisciplinary team, in both the inpatient and community settings, dealing with a range of medical, neurological and orthopaedic conditions. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.

The post-holder will assist their Physiotherapy colleagues with the day-to-day running of the Physiotherapy Department, including the professional development of junior staff, support workers and students.

Evidence of ongoing professional development is expected, and knowledge of NHS policies and procedures is essential.

The successful applicant will be required to hold a UK approved degree / honours degree in physiotherapy or equivalent and be registered with HCPC. Previous NHS experience would be desirable.

A full UK manual driving licence is essential, and a pool car will be available, however, applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes, if required.

This is a permanent post of up to 37 hours per week, worked in accordance with service requirements.
