JOB DESCRIPTION: The chief responsibility of the Conduct Committee Chairperson (ConCom) is to ensure that the decision-making processes of the Conduct Committee are fair, procedurally sound, efficient, sensitive to the member, and well documented. The ConCom Chair must train ConCom members each semester, make necessary preparations before each meeting, and fulfill a number of responsibilities to the Board that occur after each meeting.
REQUIREMENTS: This job is open to co-op members only and we are looking for someone with demonstrable experience with meeting facilitation. This job requires a lot of patience and responsibility. You must be able to work with a diverse group of people. If necessary, you will be trained in meeting facilitation techniques and will need to familiarize yourself with the parliamentary procedures, by-laws, policies, and practices of the BSC.
HOURS/PAY: This is a paid job, averaging 5 hrs/week, compensated with a rent credit at $22.00/hour. Please note, this job does not fulfill the workshift requirement for residents at either the houses or apartments. If for whatever reason this job begins mid-semester, the stipend will be prorated.
