Unity Point-St. Luke's

PRN (As Needed)

Provides child care services which meet the developmental needs of each child. Consistently communicates with each child’s parents to ensure that quality care is being given and the child/family needs are being met. Works effectively with other team members. The teacher follows hospital, department and Department of Human Services policies and procedures. Successful performance contributes to a positive work environment for UnityPoint employees.

Responsibilities

Curriculum Coordination

  • Plans and implements age/developmentally appropriate programs for assigned group of children.
  • Interacts appropriately and positively with children, participating in and encouraging children’s play.
  • Maintains a clean, orderly, child oriented, safe environment.

Assessment

  • Evaluates, monitors, and maintains records on children’s participation and development.

Quality of Care

  • Attends to personal and physical needs of children.
  • Demonstrates initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license.

Must be willing to complete all DHS required trainings within 90 days of employment.
