Position Summary
The Supervisor of Respiratory Care supervises the clinical and technical performance of respiratory care staff throughout all areas of inpatient and acute care. In this role, the Supervisor establishes clinical and technical scope of practice for inpatient and acute care in conjunction with the Respiratory Care Services Manager and Medical Director; participates in selection, training, evaluating, and counseling of respiratory care practitioners; assists with preparation of operating and capital budgets; and applies management and leadership principles consistent with Asante guiding values to ensure excellent service is provided to all patients and customers of the Respiratory Care department.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- Master's Degree in Respiratory Care or related field, preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in respiratory care, consisting of at least 4 years as a lead respiratory practitioner in adult , neonatal intensive care, or cardiopulmonary diagnostics is required
- RRT: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- RT-P: Respiratory Therapist Permanent (RT-P) by the Oregon Respiratory Therapy Licensing Board
- BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by the American Heart Association
- CPFT: Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist
- RPFT: Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist
- ACLS: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
- PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Program
