Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Direct Care Staff member to work with adolescent females aged 10 to 14 within a structured therapeutic milieu. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing support, guidance, and a safe environment for our residents as they navigate their personal challenges and work towards emotional and behavioral goals.

- Supervision and Support:
- Provide direct supervision and support to adolescent females in a residential setting.
- Foster a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social well-being of residents.
- Therapeutic Engagement:
- Implement and participate in therapeutic activities that encourage personal growth, self-expression, and team-building.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the therapeutic team.
- Behavior Management:
- Monitor and document resident behavior and progress, addressing any issues in a calm and constructive manner.
- Use positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviors.
- Life Skills Development:
- Teach and reinforce daily living skills, including personal hygiene, cooking, and time management.
- Encourage residents to participate in group activities and promote healthy relationships among peers.
- Communication:
- Maintain open and effective communication with residents, families, and team members.
- Participate in regular staff meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Crisis Intervention:
- Respond appropriately to crisis situations, ensuring the safety of residents and staff.
- Participate in crisis intervention training and apply skills as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in psychology, social work, or related field preferred.
- Experience working with adolescents in a therapeutic or residential setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with youth.
- Understanding of adolescent development and mental health issues.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid preferred.
- Ability to engage in physical activities such as running, walking, and lifting as necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
