
Outten & Golden LLP is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to provide administrative support to our Human Resources team. The successful candidate will exhibit a positive, proactive attitude, along with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a range of people. The person in this role will be based in our New York office and will report directly to the Human Resources Manager.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in day-to-day Human Resources (HR) operations and maintain best practices.
- Provide administrative support for HR initiatives and strategic programs.
- Proactively coordinate all aspects of new hire onboarding and new hire orientation.
- Ensure that data entry is accurate and up to date, maintain confidential HR files and records in the Firm’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS), and perform periodic audits of HR files and records.
- Act as a liaison between the Firm and external benefits providers and vendors, such as health and disability plan providers.
- Assist with coordinating internal surveys.
- Assist with updating HR intranet pages and other HR resources, assist with updating the Employee Handbook and ensure that policy updates are posted, and answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees related to standard policies and processes, benefits, and the like.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a combination of employment, educational, and life experience that demonstrates the qualities and skills below:
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree and a strong interest in HR required.

You proactively anticipate, communicate, and work to independently resolve obstacles encountered in your work. You possess a strong customer-service orientation and ability to work well within a team.
- Confidentiality: Able to adhere to Firm policies regarding the protection of confidential data and demonstrate sensitivity to (and good judgment in connection with) confidential attorney, personnel, and Firm matters.
- Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Compensation: An attractive compensation packaged (tailored to experience), with a target base compensation of $28.85–$33.65 per hour (nonexempt, 40 hours per week: annualizes to approximately $60,000–$72,000).
