Job Description
The IT Support Specialist is vital team member that provides the technical assistance and
support related to computer systems, hardware and software, ensuring optimal
performance and user satisfaction within the company. Communication with the
Woundology peers, team members, and medical providers for assistance with Microsoft
emails or Teams, electronic medical record, and assisting set up with equipment and send
out to new employees.
Roles and Responsibilities
The IT Support Specialist is vital team member that provides the technical assistance and
support related to computer systems, hardware and software, ensuring optimal
performance and user satisfaction within the company. Communication with the
Woundology peers, team members, and medical providers for assistance with Microsoft
emails or Teams, electronic medical record, and assisting set up with equipment and send
out to new employees.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support for IT-related issues, assisting users with hardware, software, and network problems.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, and peripherals, ensuring they operate efficiently.
- Develop and maintain an inventory of all monitors, keyboards, hard drives, modems, printers, scanners, and other peripheral equipment
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly, documenting the problem-solving process for future reference.
- Educate users on new systems, software, and hardware, creating training materials as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of IT issues, solutions, and system configurations to facilitate efficient problem resolution.
- Conduct regular system checks and implement necessary upgrades to keep systems current and secure.
- Implementing IT policies and procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized access
- Practice and develop a plan Standard Operating Procedures for IT practices
- Inputs data when necessary to updated information into Platform Data sheets
- Provides information to supervisor concerning needs or complaints
- Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment
- Other duties as assigned
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred
- Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products, with the ability to troubleshoot a wide variety of IT issues
- Excellent analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical problems swiftly and effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information to nontechnical users effectively
- Proven work experience in IT support and systems maintenance
