The Position

The HR Coordinator will assist with the assigned functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including recruiting/onboarding, training and maintaining updated company policies and practices. The role may also provide support related to payroll administration, benefits administration. The HR Coordinator will ensure clear communication, proper planning and timely action is taken to continue making LP Insurance an employer of choice.

The Job

  • Recruiting duties which includes communicating with various leaders throughout the organization, candidate identification/sourcing, resume review, phone screen calls, interview coordination etc.
  • Ability to work effectively individually as well as in a team environment; problem solve with integrity, sincerity, and discretion; be flexible and adaptable in business dealings with regards to human resource issues, new ideas, changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Identify, execute, and follow up on required tasks through completion; manage and prioritize multiple tasks at one time.
  • Ability to perform a variety of office support and clerical duties of both generalized and specialized nature.
  • Ability to establish trust and maintain effective relationships and confidentiality with department managers, employees, and the general public.
  • Read, understand, and review documents for accuracy and relevant information.
  • Strong presentation skills: present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
  • Display a sense of ownership and willingness to take responsibility/accountability.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities using time efficiently.
  • Present a professional, clean, well-groomed appearance.

Requirements

Qualifications Needed:

  • Knowledge of HR and/or Recruiting practices is preferred.
  • Two years professional administrative experience is preferred.
  • Ability to interview others and make assessments of multiple candidates.
  • Experience with employee programs is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and in a calm and pleasant manner.
  • Skilled in producing strong written and verbal communication.
