OVERVIEW:

Aqua Poppy, underneath the Edwards Family of Companies, is seeking a mechanically inclined, solutions-driven Water Treatment Technician (WTT) to support temporary water remediation services on construction sites. This position plays a vital role in protecting water quality by operating and maintaining mobile treatment systems, performing field testing, and ensuring equipment is deployed and functioning according to project needs.

The WTT is responsible for executing fieldwork safely and efficiently, completing assigned tasks with attention to detail, and contributing to the success of each project by meeting deadlines and collaborating with team members. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who prefers being active in the field rather than confined to a desk.

TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:

o  Implement water treatment solutions on active construction sites

o  Identify, gather, and assemble equipment and materials needed for each project

o  Operate and maintain water treatment systems with varying levels of complexity

o  Perform water sampling and monitoring to ensure compliance with environmental standards

o  Troubleshoot equipment issues and conduct basic repairs as needed

o  Collaborate with the operations team to meet project deadlines and objectives

o  Document field activities and report findings accurately to supervisors

o  Assist in the setup and breakdown of temporary water treatment systems

o  Follow all site safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

REQUIREMENTS:

o  Associate degree in a technical field required; Bachelor's degree preferred

o  Minimum 2 years of experience in water treatment, environmental services, or construction

o  Familiarity with pumps, piping systems, filters, valves, and water quality instrumentation

o  Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to think critically under pressure

o  Capable of reading technical instructions and understanding system schematics

o  Detail-oriented with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency

o  Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

o  Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

o  Excellent communication skills and a strong team player

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

o  Primarily field-based work across construction sites in varying weather conditions

o  Physical work involving lifting, bending, assembling equipment, and climbing

o  Use of standard water treatment tools and monitoring instruments

o  Fast-paced environment with a focus on safety, responsiveness, and reliability

o  Occasional office time for documentation and coordination, but mostly active fieldwork
