Position Summary
Benevolent Family Services (BFS) is seeking a visionary and execution-driven Managing Director(MD) to lead the organization through its next phase of growth and transformation. The MD will be responsible for repositioning BFS as a premier Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) treatment provider, while aligning the agency with industry-leading standards in clinical outcomes, compliance, and operational excellence. This role requires a strategic leader who thrives in high-accountability environments and is capable of assessing, stabilizing, and optimizing underperforming systems.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Transformation
- Lead the overall transformation of BFS into a best-in-class PHP/IOP provider known for clinical excellence, integrity, and innovation.
- Work with the CEO to build, communicate, and execute a clear multi-year strategic plan that emphasizes program quality, growth, sustainability, and measurable outcomes.
- Evaluate current business model and make bold decisions to restructure, reallocate, or streamline resources as needed to reduce inefficiencies and elevate care delivery.
- Conduct a comprehensive audit of all departments, identifying performance gaps, compliance risks, and process breakdowns.
- Oversee the clean-up and stabilization of workflows related to billing, documentation, HR, and program operations.
- Implement systems that ensure real-time tracking, accountability, and performance reporting across all service lines.
- Work closely with the Chief Clinical Officer and Program Managers to embed evidence-based practices and ensure all clinical programs exceed Joint Commission and DBHDS standards.
- Enhance outcome measurement tools and use data to improve treatment results, staff productivity, and client satisfaction.
- Foster a culture of documentation integrity, timely service delivery, and ethical billing practices.
- Strengthen the organization’s financial position by increasing reimbursement efficiency, reducing denials, and optimizing staff-to-client ratios.
- Drive profitability through smart scaling, contract negotiation, and oversight of payer relationships.
- Evaluate and refine the company’s financial infrastructure, budgeting systems, and forecasting tools.
- Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing leadership team aligned with BFS’s mission and goals.
- Build a culture of accountability, professional excellence, and mission-driven service delivery.
- Promote strong internal communication, role clarity, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Serve as the public face of BFS to stakeholders, including payers, regulators, partners, and the broader healthcare community.
- Build and maintain trust with board members, funders, and referring organizations through transparency, competence, and results.
- Master’s or Doctorate in Healthcare Administration, Psychology, Social Work, Business, or related field.
- 5–7 years of executive leadership experience in behavioral health, with a focus on PHP/IOP or related treatment programs.
- Proven track record of leading organizational turnarounds or major transformations within a healthcare setting.
- Deep understanding of Joint Commission, DBHDS, DMAS, and value-based care models.
- Strong financial acumen and experience overseeing multi-million-dollar healthcare budgets.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and change management skills.Demonstrated ability to build high-performing, mission-aligned teams.
