SeamonWhiteside is looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our growing Landscape Architecture team as a Landscape Architecture Project Coordinator in our Mount Pleasant, SC office.
The Landscape Architecture Project Coordinator is a position with primary focus on further development of skill sets in the specific area of management of projects, Employees, and Clients. The LA Project Coordinator is expected to continue in the production role of Land Planner to assist the LA team in the production of design, plan preparation and permitting. However, this position is also expected to further develop necessary project management skills related to project scope, budgeting, scheduling, and client management.

Requirements
Essential Job Functions
- Perform all skills defined in Land Planner III at a high level of proficiency
- Assist in the construction admin responsibilities of at least one project that you were involved in throughout the entire course of construction (pre-con thru closeout)
- Coordinate directly with Clients, Contractors, and government agencies to provide solutions to field issues, evaluate as-builds, and coordinate project closeout
- Evaluate and a provide suggested solutions to problem solving and troubleshooting issues arising in the field
- Ability to coordinate as-built comments between the Surveyor and Contractor for any field items found during as-built review
- Coordinate directly with Clients on project requirements and expectations, deliverables, agency regulations, scheduling and project deadlines
- Attend project coordination meetings with Clients, project team members, government agencies, and Contractors
- Responsible of the preparation of project permitting submittal packages for agency reviews applications
- Assist Project Managers in the due diligence research of a project and demonstrate the ability to identify potential risk factors
- Assist Project Managers in the review of site work bids from contractors related to LA design projects
- Perform QA/QC reviews on civil design work and plan presentation, expected to assist in review of tasks prepared by Land Planners, Technicians, and Interns prior to delivery of work product to the LA Project Manager for review
- Make appropriate LA design decisions independently, bring solutions to engineering design issues and effectively communicate to Project Manager
- Delegate tasks to Designers and Interns while also participating heavily in production. Communicates design intent and helps the PM oversee the design effort, giving direction to designers as needed
- Participate in continuing education/lunch n' learn opportunities (at least 8 hours per year)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field
- Experience: 3+ years of experience
- Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills
