The Senior Service Chiller Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of commercial and industrial chiller systems. This role requires advanced technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior technicians. The Senior Service Chiller Technician will ensure systems are operating efficiently and comply with relevant codes and standards, providing exceptional service to clients while maintaining safety and performance standards.

- Perform diagnostic and repair services on centrifugal, screw, scroll, and absorption chillers from major manufacturers.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and system inspections to ensure reliable system performance.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues and implement corrective measures.
- Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals to guide repair and maintenance tasks.
- Complete service reports, documentation, and communicate findings and recommendations to clients.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and facility operators to plan and execute service activities.
- Maintain accurate records of tools, parts, and job progress.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
- Mentor and train junior technicians, providing on-the-job support and technical guidance.
- Respond to emergency service calls and provide after-hours support as needed.
- Advanced knowledge of HVACR systems, particularly chiller systems (centrifugal, screw, scroll, and absorption).
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, refrigerant handling, controls, and instrumentation.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools, gauges, meters, and software for troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with energy management and building automation systems (BAS/BMS) is a plus.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical school certification or associate degree in HVACR or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in servicing commercial/industrial chiller systems.
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.
- OEM factory training certifications (e.g., Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin) are highly desirable.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
