The Electrical Engineer position is responsible for developing the specification review and design of products, interfacing with customers and team members, to develop products that meet customer orders. Position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of duties including, but not limited to, the following:

Work Experience: 2-5 years of experience working in an engineering environment. Will consider new graduates.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
Related Experience:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near electrical and moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Electrical Engineer position is responsible for developing the specification review and design of products, interfacing with customers and team members, to develop products that meet customer orders. Position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of duties including, but not limited to, the following:
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read, interpret, and understand electrical drawings and specifications, as well as understand other disciplines such as architectural, structural, and mechanical, to aid in designing our customer products.
- Develop product drawings that meet all applicable design codes and customer specifications.
- Collaborate with the different disciplines within the Engineering Department.
- Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software.
- Perform engineering calculations to support design work.
- Complete projects based on priorities set by the Engineering Director.
- Work alongside project managers on the shop floor to successfully monitor progress and implementation of engineering projects.
- Responsible for working according to the company’s safety and quality standards.
- Perform other related duties as required or as assigned.

Related Experience:
- Firm grasp of engineering concepts and experience designing electrical systems and products.
- Excellent math skills: ability to apply advanced mathematical principles and statistics to solve problems.
- Experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity of NEC is a plus.
- Professional license is desired or willing to pursue license is a plus.
- Ability to guide designers and drafters and convey electrical design concepts.
- Must be detail oriented and familiar with interpreting drawings.
- Must have a good attendance record and have a strong sense of personal responsibility.
- Self-motivated and works well with or without supervision.
- Good organizational skills and a methodical approach to work.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
