Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and people-oriented HR Assistant to support the daily functions of our Human Resources department. This role is critical in helping to recruit top talent, employee benefits, new hire orientation and onboarding, employee offboarding, and serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, with assistance from the HR Manager. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator with a strong attention to detail and a passion for supporting employees throughout the HR lifecycle. Experience with social media is a plus, though not required.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Recruitment Support: Assist in posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling and completing interviews, and communicating with candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Interview Coordination: Organize and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for all parties.
  • Benefits Administration: Support benefits enrollment, assist employees with benefits-related questions, and maintain accurate records in HRIS systems.
  • Employee Relations: Act as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries, addressing questions related to policies, procedures, and programs with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • HR Documentation: Maintain and update employee records, process new hire paperwork, and assist with onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Social Media (Preferred): Support employer branding and talent attraction efforts by contributing to HR content on company social media platforms as needed.

Education And Experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Work experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a human resources or administrative support role.
  • Experience working in transportation/warehouse (preferred)
  • Familiarity with HR software and systems (e.g., HRIS, ATS) a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Basic understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States

Schedule:?

  • Day shift.?
  • Standard office hours, with occasional flexibility based on hiring or onboarding needs.
  • Hybrid or remote options may be considered depending on organizational needs.
  • We can work together on a schedule that is flexible between 6am-6pm Tues-Thur (after training)
  • Weekends as needed.?
