Job Overview:

This Recruiting Specialist (Contract Position) will be responsible for collaborating with management and Human Resources to manage candidate searches, negotiate offers, and provide exceptional candidate experience during the recruiting cycle. This position will include finding and engaging skilled candidates (technical and non-technical) for open positions and hiring needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Own full cycle recruiting activities for multiple roles, across all functional areas, using creative sourcing strategies to find the best talent for each role
  • Provides information to leaders and HRBP’s in the development of talent solutions, resources for career development, client specific learning opportunities and/or job descriptions for recruitment
  • Prepares job postings, specifications for recruitment agencies, and other recruitment materials
  • Collaborates with limited amount of business managers to define candidate profiles
  • Responds to simple inquiries about the company's job openings
  • Contacts candidates, schedules interviews, and creates interview questions with the hiring manager
  • Organizes and conducts pre-screening interviews, checks references, and selects candidates
  • Prepares job offer materials in accordance with the job specifications
  • Supports more senior recruiting specialist with documentation and interview preparation
  • Support the organization at job fairs to promote the organization to potential candidates
  • Assists in the preparation of reports
  • Coordinate off-boarding related activities – to include HR partnership on sensitive separations, etc
  • Assist in advising/providing guidance in the administration of HR related policies and procedures
  • Create reports and/or presentations that discuss the findings of a research effort or project – be able to present information and show key findings to a variety of leaders, peers, clients and partners
  • Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings
  • Will perform other duties as assigned

Qualifikationen

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years’ experience in HR Recruiting or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of state and federal law/regulations pertaining to employment (EEO, OFCCP, etc.)
  • Extensive experience with utilizing multiple recruiting platforms (including utilizing social media)
  • Experience with proactively engaging with passive job seekers
  • Experience with Agency and Corporate settings preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in recruiting technical and non-technical skilled candidates (preferable experience with while collar and blue collar employee categories)
  • Experience recruiting within the Automotive/Manufacturing Industry preferred
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, preferably TALEO
  • Experience in candidate salary negation
  • Approachable style; ability to connect with employees and establish rapport
  • Resourceful and creative in developing sourcing and recruiting strategies
  • Strong customer service driven mindset and communication skills
  • Preferred experience with working on diverse teams

Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC (“MBV”) is a plant in Ladson, South Carolina that assembles Sprinter vans for the U.S. and Canadian market under the brands Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner. The midsize Mercedes-Benz Metris vans are also reassembled at this location.

Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC has invested more than 500 million U.S. dollars in the new Sprinter plant, which officially opened in 2018. Today the MBV facility provides more than 1,600 jobs and supports at least 600 additional jobs in the region through its suppliers. More than 200,000 Sprinter and Metris vans have been assembled in North Charleston and delivered to destinations across the U.S. since 2006. Therefore, MBV celebrates a 15-year legacy of SKD production in 2021. The U.S. is the second largest market for Sprinter vans, after Germany.
