As a Field Engineer reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing project planning, coordination with subcontractors, and ensuring adherence to construction schedules and safety standards.

Role Overview
As a Field Engineer reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing project planning, coordination with subcontractors, and ensuring adherence to construction schedules and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans and develop construction schedules in alignment with project-wide activities.
- Coordinate with subcontractors for material acquisitions and pre-construction deliverables.
- Assist in obtaining quotes and draft contracts to meet project requirements.
- Prepare construction work plans and coordinate pre-construction meetings.
- Monitor field construction activities daily, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety protocols.
- Administer subcontractors and material suppliers, managing correspondence, submittals, and performance records.
- Prepare monthly progress reports, schedule updates, and assist in change order management.
- Develop relationships with stakeholders including owners, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment, enforcing workplace safety standards.
- Resolve site conditions and coordinate permit applications as necessary.
- Manage project close-out activities in collaboration with clients and third parties.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- 5+ years of experience in Heavy Civil projects, with a minimum of 3 years in similar roles.
- Knowledge of construction safety, federal & OSHA requirements.
- Familiarity with project controls, including cost accounting and scheduling tools (Primavera P6 preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with scheduling software.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently and in teams.
