Salary
In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the negotiated annual salary range for this position is $75,560.00 -$141,948.00 (USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.

Position Summary
NJIT is seeking a skilled and motivated Full Stack Developer to join our Information Services & Technology Division and the CRM & Student Information Systems (CSIS) department. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a problem-solving mindset, and a collaborative spirit to help enhance the digital experience for our students and staff.
Essential Functions
- Design, develop, debug, and support custom applications used across the university.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for student-facing and administrative systems.
- Develop and maintain dynamic web-based user interfaces.
- Create and manage reports using data from multiple systems and data sources.
- Support and maintain system integrations across university platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and performance of all applications.
- Follow design, development, testing, deployment, post production, integration, reporting, documentation and security standards defined by IST.
- Assist in testing and troubleshooting, as needed.
- Support University and IST initiatives, as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned and as needed, including readiness to support after hours and weekends.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Proficiency in web UI development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks.
- Strong programming experience in Python, Java, and SQL.
- Experience developing and supporting custom web applications and backend services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
- Experience working in a Higher Education environment.
- Familiarity with NJIT's systems and processes is a strong plus.
