Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain part files, CAD models, and detailed drawings for design projects under the guidance of engineering colleagues.
- Collaborate with engineers to improve product manufacturability and ensure designs meet production standards.
- Maintain, organize, and update CAD files and drawings as required.
- Coordinate manufacturing processes, including preparing documentation and interfacing with vendors.
- Document testing procedures and record data for custom thermal management devices and test equipment.
- Assist in inspecting incoming parts for manufacturing flaws and verifying adherence to tolerance specifications.
- Degree in Mechanical Drafting and Design or equivalent 2-year program, or comparable industry experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in Mechanical Drafting, with a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience using SolidWorks (preferred).
- Familiarity with machine shop practices and processes.
- Ability to assess manufacturability, identify flaws, and evaluate tolerances in parts.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment.
- Able to pass a background check
