CAD Technician, Aerospace Manufacturing

ThermAvant Technologies specializes in designing and manufacturing cutting-edge thermal management solutions. We are looking for a CAD Technician, Aerospace Manufacturing to join our team and contribute to the creation of innovative products. This full-time position focuses on preparing models and drawings, consulting with our engineering team on manufacturability, and supporting the production of advanced thermal management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain part files, CAD models, and detailed drawings for design projects under the guidance of engineering colleagues.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve product manufacturability and ensure designs meet production standards.
• Maintain, organize, and update CAD files and drawings as required.
• Coordinate manufacturing processes, including preparing documentation and interfacing with vendors.
• Document testing procedures and record data for custom thermal management devices and test equipment.
• Assist in inspecting incoming parts for manufacturing flaws and verifying adherence to tolerance specifications.
  
  

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Drafting and Design or equivalent 2-year program, or comparable industry experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in Mechanical Drafting, with a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience using SolidWorks (preferred).
• Familiarity with machine shop practices and processes.
• Ability to assess manufacturability, identify flaws, and evaluate tolerances in parts.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment.
• Able to pass a background check
