The Business Development Executive is a pivotal member of the revenue generation team, tasked with expanding the club's fan base and corporate network. This individual will be a proactive seller, identifying and cultivating new business opportunities across three key areas: ticket sales, corporate partnerships, and stadium event bookings. Success in this role requires a tenacious approach to lead generation, a consultative sales methodology, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences

Job Description
The Business Development Executive is a pivotal member of the revenue generation team, tasked with expanding the club's fan base and corporate network. This individual will be a proactive seller, identifying and cultivating new business opportunities across three key areas: ticket sales, corporate partnerships, and stadium event bookings. Success in this role requires a tenacious approach to lead generation, a consultative sales methodology, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences
Key Responsibilities
- Ticket Sales (All Plan Types):
- Season Tickets: Actively prospect, present, and close new season ticket accounts through cold calling, networking events, and targeted outreach. Manage renewal efforts for existing season ticket holders.
- Group Sales: Develop and execute strategies to sell group ticket packages to businesses, schools, community organizations, and other affinity groups. Identify and secure new group leads.
- Partial Plans & Mini Plans: Promote and sell various partial and mini ticket plans to individuals and small groups.
- Premium Seating: Identify and cultivate leads for premium seating options, suites, and club seats.
- Individual Game Tickets: Support efforts to drive single-game ticket sales, particularly for high-demand matchups or special promotions.
- Achieve and exceed assigned individual and team ticket sales revenue goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorships:
- Prospecting: Identify, research, and qualify potential local business partners for various sponsorship opportunities (e.g., in-stadium signage, digital assets, promotional activations, community programs, hospitality).
- Relationship Building: Develop and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers within target businesses..
- Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations and successfully close partnership agreements.
- Activation Support: Collaborate with the Marketing and Activation teams to ensure successful execution and fulfillment of partnership agreements.
- Manage existing partnership accounts to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upsells and renewals.
- Achieve and exceed assigned corporate partnership revenue goals.
- Stadium Event Bookings:
- Lead Generation: Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to book non-game day events at the stadium, including corporate meetings, conferences, galas, private parties, trade shows, concerts, and community events.
- Venue Promotion: Showcase the stadium's event spaces, amenities, and capabilities to potential clients.
- Client Consultation: Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements, provide tailored proposals, and manage logistical expectations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Operations, Facilities, and Catering teams to ensure seamless event planning and execution.
- Develop a robust pipeline of event leads and actively work to convert them into confirmed bookings.
- Achieve and exceed assigned stadium event booking revenue goals.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of sales principles, including prospecting, lead qualification, needs assessment, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse clients.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the sports schedule and event bookings.
- Passion for sports and a genuine interest in contributing to the success of the team and the community
- Fluency in English is required
- Fluency in Spanish preferred
- Bengali or Arabic fluency is a plus
- Deep understanding of the sports business landscape and industry trends
- Current Passaic County, NJ resident preferred
