About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operational efficiency of our organization’s physical assets, including facilities, vehicles, and equipment. This hands-on leadership role will ensure our properties and transportation operations run smoothly, safely, and in compliance with all regulations. You will manage maintenance schedules, coordinate vendor services, and supervise maintenance staff, playing a critical role in supporting our mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance and repairs for facilities (offices, ranch, lodges, school, etc.) and the organizational fleet.
  • Ensure all properties and vehicles comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop preventive maintenance plans and schedule regular inspections.
  • Manage repairs, servicing, and documentation for vehicles and equipment.
  • Coordinate transportation logistics for staff, supplies, and service recipients.
  • Supervise maintenance employees and support a culture of safety and teamwork.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, parts, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Track and manage maintenance and transportation budgets, seeking cost efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with Supervisor to ensure operational support aligns with program needs.
  • Respond to facility or vehicle emergencies, including after hours if necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and participant privacy regulations.

Qualifications

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent; valid MT driver’s license with insurable record; minimum age 21.
  • Preferred: Associate or bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in facilities management or transportation.
  • Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • CPR, First Aid, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certifications (or ability to obtain).
  • Experience in a non-profit or community-based setting is a plus.
  • Electrical, HVAC, or Boiler certifications preferred.
  • Ability to pass a criminal and child abuse background check.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting technical documents and safety standards.
  • Comfortable responding to sensitive inquiries and presenting information clearly.
  • Competent in basic math and reasoning to support budgeting and scheduling.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Moderate noise level; non-smoking workplace.
  • Frequent walking, standing, and sitting; occasional lifting or carrying of moderate loads.
  • Ability to climb, kneel, or crawl occasionally as needed.
  • Requires close, distance, and peripheral vision.
