BayCare Clinic Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Green Bay is looking for a Surgery Scheduler to join our team. We’re looking for a compassionate, thoughtful candidate who wants to contribute to a positive experience for all our patients. The typical hours for this role are Monday–Friday, between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. No Holidays! No Weekends!

The Job

  • Schedules/coordinates appointments related to surgery for patients.
  • Verifies availability of date, time, and anesthesia for scheduled surgical procedures.
  • Accurately obtains scheduling information including procedure, type of anesthesia, length of stay, and patient demographics.
  • Promptly schedules surgical procedures while observing block times.
  • Communicates with hospital staff regarding procedure scheduling and pre-operative testing.
  • Accurately records surgical cancellations and reasons in computer.
  • Annotates all information accurately into EPIC.
  • Answers phone calls in a timely and courteous manner and properly disposes of the calls.
  • Coordinates with surgical reps for upcoming surgical cases.
  • Notifies appropriate staff of supply/forms shortages.
  • Compiles and mails surgical information to patients.
  • Communicates surgeons’ days off for OR utilization at the hospital.
  • Respects and maintains confidentiality.
  • Works in a safe, compliant and ethical manner at all times.

The Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Working knowledge of computers and appropriate software (Outlook, MS Word, EPIC).
