This is a hybrid opportunity to grow with a firm known for tackling complex public and private sector work across multiple asset classes.

Client Details

Our client is a well-established general contractor and construction management firm with 30+ years of experience in North Jersey. Their portfolio includes public infrastructure, commercial, multi-family residential, transit, industrial, and historical renovation projects-many of them high-profile and technically challenging. They're known for their stability, collaborative team culture, and consistent pipeline of public-sector work across the NY/NJ metro area.

Description

  • Project Management: Supporting day-to-day project coordination across multiple active job sites

  • Documentation: Reviewing submittals, RFIs, and maintaining project documentation

  • Schedule Management: Managing subcontractor schedules and site logistics

  • Cost Management: Assisting with budgeting, procurement, and cost tracking

  • Team Leadership: Liaising with public agencies, architects, and owners

  • Quality Control: Participating in job site meetings and reporting progress to senior staff

  • Safety Compliance: Ensuring safety protocols and compliance with public project standards

Profile

You're a confident and proactive APM or Project Engineer with 2-5 years of construction experience, ideally with exposure to both public sector and commercial/multi-family projects. You're equally comfortable in a trailer as you are in a project meeting and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with public projects (municipal, transit, government, etc.)

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam)

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

  • Commercial or multi-family housing

  • Exposure to historical renovations or restoration work

Job Offer

  • Competitive base salary: up to $100K (commensurate with experience)

  • Hybrid work structure (office and on-site presence required)

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Growth opportunity with a company that values mentorship and internal advancement

  • Work on diverse, high-impact projects that build your career in both public and private sectors
