The Role
As a Supply Chain Specialist at Mach Industries, you will be a critical part of our supply chain team, executing day-to-day procurement activities to ensure a steady flow of materials for our production and engineering programs. This role requires a detail-oriented, proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at managing purchase orders, tracking supplier performance, and coordinating with internal teams. You will serve as a key liaison between Mach’s internal stakeholders and external suppliers, ensuring supply continuity and supporting the broader goals of our supply chain operations.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offers may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and training, critical skills, and business considerations. Key Responsibilities
- Create, manage, and track purchase orders (POs) in the ERP system based on demand signals, MRP recommendations, and internal requests.
- Monitor and update PO status, ensuring suppliers acknowledge, confirm, and deliver orders on time.
- Execute order management tasks, including rescheduling, cancellations, and expediting requests, in coordination with Global Supply Managers.
- Follow up with suppliers regularly to resolve delivery issues, confirm ship dates, and maintain accurate order progress records.
- Support ‘Clear to Build’ reviews by confirming material availability against program requirements and escalating any gaps or risks.
- Collaborate with receiving and inventory teams to resolve discrepancies, blocked invoices, and receiving issues.
- Communicate proactively with engineering, planning, and production teams to align on material priorities and program needs.
- Assist in onboarding new suppliers, obtaining quotes, and setting up vendor master data in coordination with supply managers and finance.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and supplier communications for traceability and audit readiness.
- Participate in continuous improvement of procurement workflows and support the implementation of supply chain tools and dashboards.
- Assist in sourcing and supply chain development activities as directed.
- Support cross-functional projects and broader supply chain initiatives as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain/Operations Management, Business, or equivalent (3+ years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree).
- 1+ years of demonstrated success in a supply chain role, with experience in procurement operations and supplier management.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in enterprise applications (e.g., PLM, ERP, MES) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally with engineering, production, and planning teams.
- Familiarity with defense industry compliance requirements (e.g., ITAR, EAR, NDAA).
- Experience in hardware-integrated manufacturing or regulated industries (defense, aerospace, automotive).
- Exposure to ERP systems and procurement workflows in a manufacturing context.
- Track record of contributing to process improvements or tool implementation in a supply chain setting.
