Aspire General Insurance a leading provider of non-standard auto insurance, is seeking an experienced, innovative, hands-on, and results-driven Vice President of Claims Technology to lead the transformation and modernization of our claims technology ecosystem. Aspire General Insurance a leading provider of non-standard auto insurance, is seeking an experienced, innovative, hands-on, and results-driven Vice President of Claims Technology to lead the transformation and modernization of our claims technology ecosystem. This executive will serve as the strategic bridge between Claims leadership and IT, ensuring our technology investments drive operational excellence, superior customer experiences, and cost-effective claims outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of claims technology platforms across the organization.
- Partner with Claims, Product, Data, and Engineering teams to develop scalable solutions that enhance automation, accuracy, fraud detection, and customer experience.
- Drive the roadmap for legacy modernization, vendor platform integration (e.g. Snapsheet), and AI-driven decision support tools.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives including scoping, design, implementation, testing, and continuous improvement.
- Establish KPIs and metrics to measure claims technology performance and value to the business.
- Foster a high-performance team culture, providing strong leadership and mentoring to a cross-functional group of engineers, analysts, and product managers.
- Ensure all systems are compliant with regulatory requirements and align with enterprise architecture and cybersecurity standards.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and technology partners in the claims ecosystem.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in insurance technology, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing claims-related systems.
- Deep understanding of claims operations within P&C insurance, especially non-standard auto.
- Proven experience implementing or modernizing claims platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, Snapsheet, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with AI/ML applications in claims (fraud detection, subrogation, triage).
- Strong project management, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with a demonstrated ability to influence across functions and executive levels.
- Experience with cloud-based architectures and DevOps environments.
- Familiarity with regulatory/compliance issues in claims.
- Background working in or alongside claims operations, legal, or special investigations units.
