Summary

We are seeking an agile and innovative Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role plays a critical part in supporting DevOps automation, infrastructure-as-code initiatives, and optimizing cloud operations for performance and cost-efficiency. This position collaborates closely with development, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure a modern, reliable cloud environment that enables business agility and innovation.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Cloud Infrastructure & Deployment
    • Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure and services across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
    • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated provisioning and application deployment.
    • Use infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure ARM templates.
  • Monitoring, Performance & Optimization
    • Monitor cloud systems for performance, availability, cost efficiency, and capacity planning.
    • Proactively identify and remediate infrastructure issues or inefficiencies.
    • Optimize cloud resource allocation to reduce costs and improve reliability.
  • Security & Compliance
    • Implement cloud security best practices including identity access controls, encryption, and logging.
    • Support compliance efforts aligned with frameworks such as HIPAA, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.
    • Collaborate with security teams to implement robust threat detection and response mechanisms.
  • Collaboration & Support
    • Troubleshoot cloud-related infrastructure issues in coordination with developers and operations staff.
    • Document cloud architecture, operational procedures, and change management processes.
    • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, tools, and best practices.
Requirements/Qualifications

  • Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent years of relevant experience may be substituted.
    • 3 or more years of experience in cloud engineering, systems administration, or DevOps.
    • Proficient with cloud platforms including but not limited to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
    • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
    • Familiar with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
    • Solid working knowledge of networking fundamentals, VPNs, and firewalls.
    • Experience using monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog).
    • Experience collaborating with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, GCP Cloud Engineer).
    • Experience with serverless tools (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
    • Knowledge of managed database services (e.g., RDS, BigQuery, Cosmos DB).
    • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices and DevOps methodologies.
