We are seeking a highly motivated, talented, and engaging Director of Life Enrichment / Activities to join our Neville at Fresh Pond Center team. The primary role is to coordinate and oversee the life enrichment program for our residents.
The position will work closely with the team to provide support and guidance in implementing the resident’s interests for engagement and FUN! In this role you have the opportunity to truly make a difference in the lives of others.
You will hire, recruit, train and educate all staff, develop the program, interview and assess residents to create person-centered activities, care plans and create/execute monthly calendars, events, and experiences -among other tasks!

Some of the job responsibilities of the Director of Life Enrichment / Activities include:
- Implements life enrichment activities on all floors for all residents based on Life Story information and plans of care.
- Facilitate communication between the resident and family members.
- Ensure, when applicable, that the Dementia Program is implemented according to the Landmark Lighthouse Program.
- Provides therapeutically friendly environment in the residents’ personal and congregate areas.
- Create programs and activities that are exciting, engaging and enriching for residents of differing functional levels.
- Interviews and assesses all residents for Life Enrichment Program.
- Assists with the development of person-centered care plans/GDS assessments for residents and update progress in the quarterly/annual notes.
- Work with the Cambridge community to establish relationships and engagement opportunities for the program.
- Individuals should have outstanding communication skills.
- Individual should have a can-do attitude and creative thinking skills.
- Possess the ability to develop and implement individual and group programs that offer social, recreational, and educational events designed to improve each participant’s self-awareness and level of functioning.
- The interests and therapeutic needs of individual participants must be considered in the development of activity programs.
