Job Summary
This position is for a full- time Bookkeeper, responsible for proper capture and processing of financial information and data in order to facilitate proper and robust financial reporting to required internal and external parties. The bookkeeper is also responsible for computing, classifying and recording financial transactions to ensure the financial records of the organization are accurate. They must perform routine financial calculations, general ledger duties and check the accuracy of calculations performed by other employees.
Individual must possess the ability to work independently, perform multiple tasks, work as a team to accomplish practice goals, and maintain strong organizational skills.

Position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment is also required. Employee must have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports and may need to lift up to 25 pounds.

- Minimum of 5+ year full charge bookkeeping experience.

- Friendly, outgoing, and professional personality with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Desire to learn constantly, willingness to try new approaches to administrative tasks.

- Adheres to HIPAA, privacy, confidentiality and safety guidelines per office polices and protocol.
- Professional experience utilizing: Sage Accounting Software, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other medical practice related software.
- Full cycle Accounts Payable including vendor records maintenance, W-9 and prepare annual 1099’s
- Vendor statement reconciliations
- Prepare and/or review of all expense reports for accuracy and proper expense disclosure
- General ledger maintenance, monthly entries, account reconciliations
- Credit card reconciliation
- Bank deposits
- Promotes positive relationships with all NOI employees, physicians, and the administrative team.
- Operates computers programmed with accounting software to record, store and analyze information.
- Checks figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes.
- Classifies records and summarizes numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers.
- Debits, credits and totals accounts in computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software.
- Receives, records and banks cash, checks and vouchers.
- Complies with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations.
- Compiles statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses.
- Codes documents according to company procedures.
- Reconciles or notes and reports discrepancies found in records
- Cross trains in other departments as needed.
- Attends company and departmental staff meetings.
- Meets all Productivity Standards/Goals.
- Process biweekly payroll accurately and on schedule, including regular, overtime, and bonus pay using UKG (or applicable system)
- Maintain employee payroll records and ensure accuracy in timekeeping, deductions, and benefits administration
- Handle payroll tax filings, W-2s, and other required year-end reporting
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and resolve discrepancies
- Coordinate with HR for onboarding/offboarding impacts on payroll
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour law
