Job Summary

The System Team Leader for Procurement and Contracts Administration position exists to manage and mentor the Phoebe Putney Health System Procurement Team. It is responsible for the development of procurement strategies and processes to optimize purchasing activities and achieve cost savings while meeting quality and delivery requirements. Collaborate with internal departments to understand their needs and demand planning/forecasting. Supervise and guide the purchasing team, including training, performance evaluation, and professional development initiatives. Support the evaluation and performance management of the staff. Manage the workflow development, documenting, and deployment of the Operational, Capital Buyers, and manage the processes and procedures related to procurement including, but not limited to the buying of goods, equipment, and services at the lowest deliverable cost, while reviewing and tracking credits and returns, rebates, and assisting in negotiating contracts for maximized savings in all online Health System repositories in terms of supply and service contracts. These contracts include but are not limited to, Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO) and local contracts. Additional duties include but are not limited to capital purchasing, providing advanced analytics and optimization solutions to multiple functions within the supply chain, representing PPHS in all communications with national sales managers, and developing mutually beneficial relationships while working toward the successful and timely execution of applicable contract-related documents. Maintain documentation control in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in purchasing, supply chain, or business management (Required)

Master's Degree In Business Or Healthcare Administration (Preferred)

Work Experience

3 or more years relevant experience in buying (Required). Master’s Degree with emphasis in Business or Healthcare Administration accepted in lieu of experience requirement.

7 years or more years of experience in negotiations and/or contract management (Required). Master's Degree with emphasis in business or healthcare administration accepted in lieu of experience requirement.

3 years or more years of analyst experience with proficiency in Excel. (Required)

3 Years Or More Experience In Information System. (Required)

Licenses and Certifications

Formal Negotiation Training (Preferred)

Certified Materials and Resource Professional - CMRP (Preferred)
