As Senior Business Analyst, you'll roll up your sleeves as you assist with various projects within Optum Serve and collaborate on Community Care Services (CCS) contract deliverables. This role will provide high-level analytical, operational, and strategic support to drive key initiatives, streamline processes, and ensure alignment across the organization. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver, a strong communicator, and a trusted partner who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
In this role, you will build relationships across CCS programs and teams in order to make meaningful improvements that will positively impact Veteran’s lives and improve the VA’s Health System. You'll take on tough challenges and create innovative solutions that impact the bottom line.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities
- Strategic Support & Execution
- Partner closely with the Optum Serve Operations Chief of Staff to manage and execute high-priority initiatives across the Operations and Community Care Services teams
- Help translate Optum Serve’s strategic goals into actionable plans, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of outcomes
- Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders
- Operational Excellence
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
- Lead or support cross-functional projects that enhance operational effectiveness and scalability
- Business Analysis & Insights
- Conduct in-depth analyses to support business cases and strategic planning
- Consolidate data into clear, concise insights and recommendations
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive intelligence relevant to Optum Serve
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in business analysis, operations, or strategic support roles
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Office programs
- Experience planning, prioritizing, organizing, and completing complex work efforts to meet established objectives
- Experience presenting and communicating findings to a variety of stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with senior leadership
- DHA / VA / Government contract experience
- Experience in the healthcare industry
- Military and/or VA experience
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills including ability to link pivots to external data sources, creating pivot tables and summarizing data into reports and dashboards
