Optum Health Analytics is putting intelligence at the core of decision making by advancing a data-driven culture through the connection of critical data assets and delivery of integrated business reporting & analytics. We are looking for a high-performing candidate to fill a BI Data Analyst role on our fun, high-performing, and growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our healthcare data and how it is represented in reporting. You will work closely with Data Engineers, Business Intelligence Engineers, and key stakeholders to deliver business value.

Primary Responsibilities
- Utilize PowerBI to create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports for business stakeholders
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for analysis and reporting purposes
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our Snowflake environment
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Perform data analysis to identify business problems and deliver value
- Problem solve and troubleshoot issues independently and as a part of a team
- Communicate updates, changes, or issues to the wider team and stakeholders
- Accurate and Reliable Data Pipelines: Help engineers design & develop data pipelines and ETL processes in Azure Data Factory
- Interactive Dashboards and Reports: Utilize PowerBI to create, maintain and optimize interactive dashboards and reports
- Optimized SQL Queries: Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data, ensuring efficient and effective data retrieval for various business needs
- Collaborative Business Solutions: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand problems they are trying to solve and deliver data-driven solutions that add value
Required Qualifications
- Experience with creating interactive dashboards and reports (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau)
- Experience database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Snowflake, Teradata)
- Familiarity with SQL
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related role
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS)
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
